Q: Can the shades be easily shortened?
They are not easily shortened because of the internal tension mechanism and because these shades are a fabric material. These roman shades are only offered at the standard 64"" height. The access fabric will remain neatly pleated at the bottom of the shade, but with 16 inches of extra fabric, this may be a lot.

It is more of a pure white a cool tone rather than soft ivory.
